Khushnum Bhandari is an independent Canadian photographer and photojournalist with her focus on documentary storytelling. Born in Pune, India she emigrated with her parents to Toronto, Canada at nine. She studied Photojournalism at Loyalist College in Belleville, Ontario and then completed a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Toronto.
As an Indo-Canadian, her personal photographic interests led her to Mumbai, which is home to the majority of Zoroastrians. Over the last four years, along with freelancing, she has been extensively focusing on the different aspects and challenges her community (Zoroastrians) face today, as part of her personal work. She hopes to bring forth awareness in her work and serve a global, connected audience.
Presently based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
