Khushnum Bhandari (Khush), an independent Canadian photojournalist with her focus on news, and documentary storytelling.  Born in Pune, India she emigrated with her parents to Toronto, Canada at the age of nine.  She studied Photojournalism at Loyalist College in Belleville, Ontario and then completed Bachelor of Arts in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Toronto.  

As an Indo-Canadian, her personal photographic interests led her to Mumbai, India which is home to majority of Zoroastrians.  During her time in Mumbai, along with freelancing, she was extensively focusing on the different aspects, and challenges her community (Zoroastrians) face as part of her personal work.  She hopes to bring forth awareness in her visual work and serve a global, connected audience.   

In 2017 Khush moved to Abu Dhabi, and started freelancing for various media outlets such as Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg,  amongst others.  Subsequently, in 2021 she became a Staff Photographer for The National News in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.  Currently based in Toronto, Canada and available for assignments.
