Jeweller, Tariq Riaz has won 17 international awards in past two years, and works with a team at his modest studio space in Mussafah. With a background in engineering and robotics, design had always been in his nature, and Riaz immersed himself in the industry, studying gemstones and pearls at Gemological Institute of America. He examines every detail through the jeweller's loupe to check the quality of the work, and is involved at all stages of the process. Riaz has 14 people working for him at his Abu Dhabi workshop, and plans to double that number by the end of year. The team of skilled craftsmen use state-of-the-art technology to create unique pieces, designed by Riaz.
