Bait Mohammed bin Khalifa is a historical site that has been revived as a cultural, and vibrant community centre for residents, and visitors to Al Ain. It reopened to the public as a hub for arts, theatre, workshops, meetings and more. It is located in Al Ain’s Unesco World Heritage area, a unique cultural destination beautifully restored as a community space for all. The Courtyard is the largest space in the house, situated at the heart of the site in open air, this area can accommodate up to 250 people. Built in 1958, the House was home to Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan (1909–79), the father-in-law of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Founding Father of the United Arab Emirates. Bait Mohammed bin Khalifa is a balance between tradition and modernity, adding to the rich history of the United Arab Emirates, and a prominent landmark for years to come.
