The opening evening of Qasr Al Hosn, a historical landmark in the heart of Abu Dhabi city. A space where there are various activities throughout the year, and the cultural history of Abu Dhabi on display. It was built as a protective watchtower around 1790s, becoming home to Al Nahyan family, and the seat of government until 1966. The stone fort has been re-developed several times, and presently houses a museum displaying artifacts and pictures representing the history of the United Arab Emirates. This national landmark is the oldest and most significant building transformed into focusing on extensive historical, archaeological, and architectural research. The traditional site is placed against the city's modern high-rise buildings attracting visitors from all parts of the world. These iconic buildings represent culture, urban regeneration, preservation, and modernity co-existing. The complex is sustained by the government of Abu Dhabi.
